Alyssa Marrero and Ashley Heinekamp of Association for Individual Development spoke about supporting mental health crises through community-based mobile crisis response on Tuesday, January 14th at Station One Smokehouse in Yorkville. Alyssa and Ashley provided guidance on identifying mental health crisis and how to respond. AID provides a 24-hour crisis line and mobile crisis support to members of the community, which can be used as an avenue to other resources and referrals as needed. They also shared information about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, which provides 24/7 mental health crisis support.
