The Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce's Meet Me Downtown - Heart of Yorkville Passport Event, held on July 11, 2026, was a great success, bringing community members into downtown Yorkville to explore local businesses and enjoy a day of connection and discovery.

Approximately 100 passports were printed for the event, with only about 40 remaining, indicating that nearly 60 families participated. Since most households used a single passport, the event generated strong family engagement and encouraged residents to visit multiple downtown destinations throughout the day.

The event featured 11 participating businesses, each offering visitors an opportunity to learn more about what makes downtown Yorkville unique. Participants collected passport stamps while exploring local shops, services, and attractions, creating meaningful interactions between businesses and community members.

The positive turnout demonstrates continued enthusiasm for events that encourage residents to support local businesses while experiencing all that downtown Yorkville has to offer. The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to the participating businesses, volunteers, and families who helped make the event a success.
