Friends, family, and the community gathered together with the United City of Yorkville for a celebratory ribbon cutting and building plaque dedication at the new City Hall and Yorkville Police Department. Illinois State Senator Sue Rezin, Illinois State Senator Linda Holmes, State Representative Jed Davis, Mayor John Purcell, and City Administrator Bart Olson remarked on how this new location will benefit the community. Attendees were invited to join a guided tour of the new building and enjoy Home Plate Hot Dogs and Foxy’s Ice Cream.
