Adult Day Services Certified Nursing Assistant, will be responsible for providing care and support to clients in an adult day services program. The job involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring clients’ health status, providing emotional support and companionship, and performing light housekeeping duties. The qualifications for the job include a high school diploma, certification as a nursing assistant, experience in a healthcare setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in our Adult Day Services program. As a CNA in our program, you will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, monitoring clients’ health status, and providing emotional support and companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor clients’ health status, including vital signs, weight, and nutrition.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients’ dietary needs are met.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, documenting all care provided and any changes in clients’ health status.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and healthcare providers, keeping them informed of any changes in the client’s condition or care.
- Ensure clients’ safety and comfort at all times, taking appropriate measures to prevent falls, accidents, or injury.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
