Edith Farnsworth House is proud to present Fertile Ground. This exhibition offers a re-reading of mid-twentieth-century Mexican design as the product of a uniquely collaborative environment — where architecture, design, and urban planning came together to actively shape a modern way of life. Drawing from the design collection of Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo, also known as MUAC, alongside photographs and archival materials from across Mexico, Fertile Ground explores how furniture, objects, graphic design, and the built environment didn't just accompany Mexico's modernization between the 1930s and 1970s — they helped create it.
Join us for the free exhibition opening on Sunday, August 23, from 1–5 PM. RSVP Here.
