Join us for an afternoon of music, flavor, and art under the open sky as we celebrate our 2026 focus on Mexican Modernism. Part of the Farnsworth Forward initiative, this special event invites diverse voices and contemporary perspectives into dialogue with the site and its enduring legacy. The afternoon begins with the vibrant traditions of Mariachi Las Luces De Aurora, whose spirited performance brings the rich musical heritage of Mexico to the Edith Farnsworth House landscape. The celebration continues with the Roy McGrath Latin Jazz Quintet, led by Chicago-based tenor saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Roy McGrath. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and shaped by studies in Boston, New Orleans, and Chicago, McGrath blends these cultural influences into a dynamic and soulful sound that bridges Latin rhythms and contemporary jazz.
