Movement: Water Into Wood Exhibition Opening
Sunday, March 30, 2025 (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Movement: Water into Wood honors the legacy of Ho-Chunk artist Truman Lowe, whose work transforms nature into art. Inspired by trees as vessels for water, his pieces take on new meaning at our site, nestled between the Fox River and Rob Roy Creek. The exhibition highlights Lowe's use of natural materials, coupled with his heritage and his relation to canoeing. It is a tribute to Lowe's spirit, always in motion, even in his canoe “when he’s not on earth or in air.”
Make plans to join us Sunday, March 30 at 2 pm in the Edith Farnsworth House Visitor Center and Barnsworth Gallery for the free exhibition opening. The program will include special remarks and a selection of light refreshments. Special thanks to Dark Matter Coffee and Marz Brewery for providing beverages.
