Kendall County Health Department Lung Cancer Awareness Day

Kendall County Health Department Lung Cancer Awareness Day

The Kendall County Health Department will be holding a Lung Cancer Awareness Day at Waterford Place, across the street from Rush Hospital in Aurora. This event will be held at 9:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 2 and there will be pre-event registration offered through Rush.

The focus of this event will be to provide a few brief educational talks for attendees on the importance of radon testing and mitigating, smoking cessation and screening for lung cancer. Shortly thereafter, in the same location, we will be hosting a White Ribbon finishing session where attendees will be able to sticker painted ribbons and then sign the back and provide messages of hope, solidarity and encouragement. These ribbons will be kept by Rush Hospital and will be given to cancer patients and survivors. This event will be open to the public with pre-registration.
