Designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1945 and constructed in 1951, the Edith Farnsworth House is a vital part of American iconography. Owned and operated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In 2020 our focus was Dr. Edith Farnsworth who commissioned the now-famous house and her life and legacies. The Farnsworth House is open for tours January thru March, Tuesdays and Saturdays and April through November, Tuesday through Sunday. Inquire for Holiday Tours available in the month of December.
